Activities and events offered during Schoolies Week 2008 are outlined below as a guide to what sort of activities may be available in 2009. Watch this space as details of 2009 activities are uploaded.

Free Day Activities

Amusement Activities

Free amusement activities were available each day at Schoolies Central between 1-5pm and 8pm-12am. These activities included:

• Velcro Wall
• Horizontal bungy
• Gladiator challenge
• Mechanical bull

A Schoolies ID was required to access these activities.

Water Sports

Schoolies received unlimited free non-motorised water sports at Airlie Beach Water Sports, located at the other end of the Lagoon from Schoolies Central. Discounts were also availabe to Schoolies for motorised water sports. A Schoolies ID was needed to access these offers.

Night Entertainment

Dance Parties

Dance parties were held each night from Sunday - Thursday at M@SS Nightclub. Two sessions were available each night to cater for demand - 7.30-9.30pm and 10pm-12am. The dance parties had various themes, as detailed below. Schoolies were encouraged to get into the party spirit by coming dressed in costume!!!

Dance Party Tickets

All M@SS Nightclub dance party sessions cost $10. Tickets were ONLY available from the Dance Party Ticket Sales Desk at Schoolies Central during Registration Area opening times. Check out the Registration page for more details.

A Schoolies ID must be produced to purchase dance party tickets and gain entry to the dance parties. The organisers will refuse entry to those who are under the influence of any substance.

Red Frog Stage

Live DJ and other entertainment was available each night at the Red Frog Stage, located within Schoolies Central. Also on offer were free amusement activities from 8pm-12am. FREE entry for Schoolies only. Bags are not allowed into the Red Frog Stage and entry will be refused if you are thought to be under the influence of any substance.

Discounted Tours and Activities

Big Fury

Great Barrier Reef Adventure

Cruise Whitsundays offered a special Schoolies day cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef for a greatly discounted price. The Great Barrier Reef trip is a full day out to Knuckle Reef Pontoon including all your food and plenty of activities on offer - snorkelling, diving, swimming or check out the giant waterslide! Bookings were made at Schoolies Central.

Fantasea

The two most popular Whitsunday Schoolies day cruises aboard Fantasea were to Reefworld on the Great Barrier  Reef and to Whitehaven Beach.

Reefworld

Imagine how cool it'd be to snorkel (all snorkelling gear provided) or dive (optional extra) to check out all the different types of coral and marine life, plus enjoy semi-sub rides.
A great buffet lunch was included in the extra special Schoolies discounted price.

2 Island Whitehaven Beach Cruise

Travel on our 2 Island Whitehaven Beach cruise and visit both Hamilton Island and  magnificent Whitehaven Beach. Lunch was included in the greatly discounted price.


Complimentary bus pick-ups were available for both cruises. Bookings were made by visiting Fantasea's stand in Schoolies Central during Schoolies Week or their Travel Centre at Shop1, 4 The Esplanade, Airlie Beach.

Sundowner Cruises

Experience the Whitsunday's only dance party on the water with a Sundowner Party Cruise including Live DJ! Two cruises each night of Schoolies, the first from 6-8pm and the second from 8-10pm. A discounted price was available to Schoolies only.
