The Whitsundays is one of the most exciting and beautiful places to holiday with your friends after all those years at school. Generally school leavers enjoy heading out to the reef, relaxing by the lagoon, participating in 'schoolies only' night entertainment and plenty of discounted trips during the day.

The one thing you must remember when enjoying your time holidaying in the Whitsundays, is to take responsibility for your actions. This goes with the territory of being an adult.

Here are some of our HOT tips on how to celebrate and have a really great holiday:

• Check out the house rules where you're staying - if something goes wrong, or there are other issues, talk to your apartment manager straight away.
• Underage drinking or possession of liquor in a public place could land you with an on the spot fine of up to $225.
• Possession of a fake ID could get you an on the spot fine of up to $375.
• Unwanted or forced sexual behavior is a crime.
